About Cash-Gordon campaign This campaign is a response to one of the great untold stories of British politics: how the Unite union has developed a strangle-hold over the Labour Party. Under the political direction of a man called Charlie Whelan, Unite has taken advantage of Labour’s near bankruptcy and the departure of Tony Blair to gain an unprecedented grip on Gordon Brown's Labour Party. Since Brown became leader Unite has bankrolled Labour with £11m of its members' money, and has an enormous amount of influence on its policies and operations. The question we all need to be worried about is what Whelan and Unite are going to get in return. That's why this Facebook campaign has been set up - so that together we can spread the word about this cash-for-influence.
